Virginia Dept of General Services

The Department of General Services (DGS) was created in 1976 by the merger of four existing service agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is one of the Commonwealth’s central administrative agencies. With more than 600 employees and a budget of approximately $131 million, the Department of General Services provides a wide array of services for other state agencies, local governments, and citizens.
