Position Title: Associate - Finance

 Department: CRG Multifamily

 Reports to:   Senior Vice President, Finance

 Direct Reports: None

Summary Description: The Associate - Finance is responsible for providing financial and operational support to the multifamily team within CRG. The Associate – Finance will assist in the underwriting, capitalization and execution of multifamily family development projects. This team will work closely with the Senior Vice President and Director of Finance.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Conduct underwriting for current and potential development projects
• Conduct and prepare financial models, perform in-depth financial and sensitivity analysis, and create valuations and investor return modeling
• Conduct property specific research, demographic studies, and competitive market analysis
• Maintain a database of key underwriting assumptions and variables (rents, vacancy, cap rates, discount rates) in strategic markets necessary to accurately underwrite and value developments
• Assist in capitalization efforts and transaction closings
• Produce offering memoranda and investment committee packages for both internal and external audiences
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual project updates for both internal and external uses
• Process monthly draw packages, reports and financial statements

Required Experience and Attributes

• 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Excellent writer and verbal communicator
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as appropriate
• Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity within a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Experience within the commercial real estate investment industry, preferably development and the multifamily apartment asset class
• Proficient with Excel
• Must understand complex pro forma cash flows, valuation models, debt and joint venture equity structures (waterfall modeling of accrued return with promote structures)
• Experience in financial analysis (NPV, IRR, ROI, DCF modeling, returns, etc.) with advanced Excel modeling skills
