JOB SUMMARY
  

The purpose of this position is to conduct performance management calls with facility teams and executive sponsors to discuss the findings of the analytics platform for single and multi-site locations under our building optimization services. Responsible for providing monthly performance reports and identify cost avoidance opportunities to reduce energy and gain operational efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  

Develops and maintains positive, long term relationships with clients.

Investigate and triage analytical anomalies and provide direction and resolution to remedy undesirable building conditions.

Identifies and directs repair and maintenance work with respect to fault detection and diagnostics in concert with other internal teams as well as with direct clients.

Provides coaching and training to clients in the use of the software and analytical tools.

Ensures adherence to functional policies, processes and procedures.

Responsible for the overall quality of the work of the functional team.

Maintains a positive and professional relationships with internal/external customers, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers.

Keeps the Director of the Building Optimization team informed of major developments.

Identifies opportunities to improve procedures, productivity and efficiency.

Works in conjunction with the Operation Support Center on the execution of Building Optimization services.

Other duties may be assigned. 

Works to gather information and data for use in optimization and fault detection platforms.

Creates data presentations including visualizations, tables, and written reports.

Troubleshoot control system logic to identify root cause and implement corrective measures where possible.

Provide coaching and training to clients in the use of the control software and analytical tools where applicable.

Ensure adherence to functional policies, processes and procedures.

Responsible for the overall quality of the work of the functional team.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


Associates degree or a minimum five years' work experience in in HVAC controls and/or mechanical systems application and design. Bachelors degree preferred.
Accredited 4 or 5 year HVAC apprenticeship may be substituted for degree.
Minimum of three years progressive experience in HVAC and automation system control and mechanical and automatic control application, or a minimum of four years' experience in a related technical field plus two years of experience in the trades and/or mechanical contracting field, or application programming and development. Five or more years of progressive experience in HVAC, networking and computer applications preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES


None

COMMUNICATION SKILLS


NiagaraAX certification preferred. A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE


Requires knowledge of basic financial terms and concepts as they relate to contracts, proposals, and providing consultation to the customer. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Familiar with basic contract verbiage, negotiation and management.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES


Possess a thorough knowledge of the use and operation of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office.
Able to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc.. Able to do basic troubleshooting. Trained and well versed with HVAC applications and possess HVAC and systems knowledge.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY


Must be willing to travel, including some overnight trips.
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
