Role Description
The Acquisitions / Asset Management Associate will work alongside the firm’s founder and president on all aspects of the investment process. The Associate will evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities, support the acquisitions process, and play a key role in the execution of asset business plans.
Responsibilities
Candidate will be joining a small firm on the ground floor and will be required to transition to various roles and responsibilities daily. Responsibilities include:
- Support all aspects of the investment process including initial underwriting, due diligence, closing, financing, execution, and disposition of real estate assets
- Financial modeling and analysis in Excel
- Author investment materials and presentations
- Interface with brokers and track and manage an investment pipeline database
- Prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports
- Perform market research/analysis
- Travel to markets to perform market and deal specific diligence and research
- Communicate and collaborate with various partners, brokers, lenders, and other third parties
- Various one-off projects as needed
Required Skills

- Expert competence and proficiency in Excel and experience with complex financial modeling
- Strong written presentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of financial valuations, the capital markets and basic accounting principals
- Excellent project management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability and willingness to lead both inside and outside the organization
- Self-starter comfortable with an entrepreneurial setting and with working remote as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate investment, brokerage, finance, or accounting
- Demonstrated excellence and abilities in prior endeavors
