Investment Analyst

Vesta Equity of Sarasota, Florida is looking for a real estate investment analyst to assist in the underwriting, negotiating, and closing of potential commercial real estate investments for Vesta Equity’s bridge lending, equity placement and acquisitions team.  The role will report directly to the Director of Investments and Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities:

Financial analysis and cash flow/return modeling for potential investments including:

• Work directly with management in assessing potential opportunities and being directly involved in the diligence and approval process
• Research commercial properties, markets, and borrowers through various means to validate findings
• Produce draft models and approval memos for all asset classes of real estate
• Prepare ad-hoc projects and reports
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus:

• 1+ years of commercial real estate experience in the financial/banking and/or real estate investment area.  Preference will be giving to those who have completed a structured analyst program
• Argus and Costar experience a plus
• Advanced-level Excel skills required
• Strong written and verbal skills
