Opportunity

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of functions surrounding the sourcing, underwriting, closing and business plan execution for industrial investments. The selected person will work closely with key members of the industrial team in all aspects of the platform. The job entails assisting with portfolio, asset management and acquisition duties including financial modeling in Excel, investor reporting, and market analysis. In addition, the analyst will assist the platform in its aim to pursue and build an off-market industrial acquisitions pipeline. Leon Capital Group will offer the candidate the opportunity to gain significant experience in a variety of acquisitions functions while working in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

 

Responsibility:

  • Structure/build detailed supply & demand analyses to support investment decisions
  • Maintain off-market database to support and build an existing property acquisitions pipeline
  • Travel to target markets to meet with private owners and brokers
  • Analyze and monitor the financial performance of properties and the portfolio including financial modeling, benchmarking performance to budget, and collaborating with management in executing business plans
  • Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of prospective acquisitions
  • Prepare presentation materials for existing and new investments
  • Assist in investor reporting on a quarterly basis
  • Provide support for the acquisition, financing and disposition process
  • Maintain the Industrial Acquisition Pipeline
  • Monitor metropolitan and national trends in occupancy, rent, supply, demand, sales, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 2 to 3 years of industrial real estate experience underwriting both acquisitions and development
  • Excel financial modeling knowledge
  • Critical thinker with a strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Detailed analytical and problem solving abilities with acute attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills; experience in sales and/or brokerage a plus
  • Willing to travel to target markets on a regular basis
