Primary Responsibilities:
The Mixed-Use Investment Associate will play an integral role on the Mixed-Use Investment team, which creates value through the acquisition and development of high-quality mixed-use assets throughout the Southeast. The role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Provide analytical ownership for the underwriting of investment opportunities
- Produce Investment Committee memos and assist with Investment Committee presentations
- Assist with securing capitalization for new deals and lead the refinancing process for existing assets
- Facilitate post-contract due diligence process and onboarding of new acquisition and development opportunities
- Play hands-on role in the predevelopment phase of mixed-use development and redevelopment projects, including entitlements, design, pre-leasing, and branding
- Oversee strategic management of each stabilized asset which includes leasing strategy, property management, and capital expenditure decisions
- Create and manage quarterly investor updates and maintain investor database
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other analytical field
- Three to five years of experience in a related real estate field: acquisitions, development, brokerage, investment banking or private equity
- Strong analytical skill set, keen understanding of real estate fundamentals, and proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
- Expertise in ARGUS, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- High capacity to oversee multiple deals and processes simultaneously
- Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively both internally and externally
- Experience with real estate operations, development, and principal ownership
- Flexibility to travel when necessary
