Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group is an Atlanta-based real estate investment banking firm focused on sourcing equity and debt capital across all income producing real estate asset types.  Having sourced nearly $6 billion in capital over its ten-year history, Patterson has gained recognition among developers and property owners as a premiere, institutional advisory firm.  In addition to its Atlanta headquarters, Patterson has offices in Charleston, Charlotte, Nashville, and Tampa.      

Patterson is seeking a senior analyst to join its Atlanta team.  The senior analyst will be responsible for supporting the Patterson team across all markets with a defined focus on underwriting investments and developments, preparing financial models, processing investment offerings and performing other tasks as assigned.

 

Senior Analyst Job Description – Atlanta, GA

  • Build detailed cash flow models and prepare sophisticated valuation and investment models for real estate acquisitions, developments, and capital restructurings;
  • Model partnership cash flows which include waterfall structures and promoted interests;
  • Prepare clear and concise offering memoranda which include qualitative and quantitative analysis of transactions;
  • Conduct research on capital terms, sales transactions, rental rates and lease packages, and general market intelligence;
  • Actively participate in and contribute to capital source meetings and discussions;
  • Read and abstract leases, joint venture agreements, purchase and sale contracts, loan agreements, and financial statements; 
  • Prepare and maintain due diligence items for capital closings;
  • Database entry and use;
  • Extensive client interaction with secondary responsibility for many clients;
  • Assist in presenting transactions to capital sources and in managing the deal process.

Required Qualifications

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point;
  • Highly proficient with Argus;
  • Highly motivated and organized, expected to require less supervision and direction;
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment and balance multiple deadlines;
  • Conclude and maintain relevant business licenses;
  • Minimum two years of commercial real estate work experience.
