AutoCamp is seeking a Land Acquisitions Associate who is responsible for assisting the acquisitions team throughout the acquisitions process. The Land Acquisitions Associate reports directly to the SVP of Acquisitions and is responsible for providing support to the Acquisitions Team by helping to source properties, assisting the organization for the due diligence, entitlement, and purchase processes. This role will support the Acquisition team by absorbing organizational, administration, and transactional related tasks which will allow managers and Leadership to focus more time on proactive growth efforts. This position will also serve as a stepping stone and allow for the individual to grow into a Land Acquisitions Manager role.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare market studies that track activity and forecast market trends, including going into the field and analyzing competing properties
  • Assist in drafting LOI's for target properties per the direction of the SVP of Acquisitions and Acquisition Managers
  • Contribute to the preparation of feasibility analysis and Investment Committee Memos (business plans) for target projects
  • Coordinate with outside consultants when necessary (legal, title, engineering, brokers, etc.)
  • Coordinate RFP process for outside consultants
  • Coordinate, track and manage Due Diligence Documents (DD Checklist and DD Folders)
  • Assist with transaction documentation (NDA's, LOI's, PSA, etc.)
  • Ensure all documentation is well organized and easily accessible to the team
  • Monitor and manage deal milestones
  • Monitor and manage pursuit budgets and spending
  • Assist with property specific research, land values, location analysis
  • Create and update dashboards to inform different parties of development progress
  • Assist the Acquisitions Team in day-to-day activities and scheduling / preparing for Department meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of property visit and market tour itineraries for Leadership and Capital Partners
  • Assist in preparing presentations for all P&Z, city council, and other presentations required for project approval
  • Manage and update Deal List and other Department template management
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Required: 3+ years of real estate experience.
  • Required: Degree in business administration, real estate or related field.
  • Strongly preferred: Commercial, hospitality, and development experience.

The right person will have:

  • A passion for hospitality and the great outdoors.
  • Capable of review and analysis and interpreting / understanding legal documents and report to the SVP of Acquisitions and Acquisition Managers
  • Capable of reviewing reports related to the due diligence and entitlement process
  • Strong relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
  • Extensive sales experience and outgoing personality.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Based Applications; knowledge of Google Suite products preferred.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Must be a MacGyver, able to find creative solutions when issues arise, with limited resources.
  • Able and willing to travel regularly.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.
