Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preliminary underwriting analysis
  • Assist with market and property level due diligence including cash flow projections, historical performance analysis, valuation models, sensitivity analysis, and market research
  • Construct and maintain financial models in Excel 
  • Prepare investment summaries and presentations
  • Review third party reports, term sheets, loan documentation, and all other due diligence materials
  • Assist on special projects and ad hoc assignments

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years of experience in the CRE debt and/or equity marketplace, preferably at an investment bank, buyside, or advisory firm
  • Strong real estate underwriting and valuation experience including construction, transitional, and stabilized assets, preferably with exposure to hotels
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically in Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas and solutions to investment committee
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter
