EastBanc is interested in hiring an asset manager who will work with the asset management team to manage a portfolio of trophy retail, office, and residential projects in DC and NYC. The asset manager will be individually responsible for managing large complicated assets and report directly to the head of asset management.  A sample of initial job responsibilities include:


Manage and Maintain


EastBanc expects their asset managers to have high attention to detail as they are directly responsible for all spending and operations at the building on behalf of ownership. They must be able to manage and communicate with a team of property managers, accountants, leasing brokers, tenants, attorneys, consultants, and investors in order to maintain their assets to a high quality of excellence. 

  • Review, improve, and approve budgets of existing assets with the property management team to forecast future capital needs and cashflow
  • Oversight of the property management team to ensure completion of an accurate budget, adherence to budget, maintaining property operations and services, delivering best in class service, supervising direct reports and contract personnel, and performance of outside vendors.
  • Direct lease negotiations including performing analysis of lease proposals and managing the approval process for proposed lease terms with capital partners and lenders, and developing and executing on a leasing strategy
  • Develop and communicate business plans, budgets, reforecasts, and asset strategy to investment partners and lenders

  • Be forward-thinking to create flexible plans that can meet the changing needs of our tenants
  • Find ways to continually invest in assets to add value, drive operational efficiency, and stick out from the market with superior service and building technology
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate all decisions from a long term operational outlook and continually find ways to improve and optimize the assets     

EastBanc is looking for a candidate with at least six years of relevant work experience who has developed good judgement and can manage complicated mixed-use projects with minimal oversight.
