Business Development Manager
We’re seeking a qualified Business Development Manager who will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships while extending our national reach and identify business growth opportunities to increase company sales and opportunities. The Business Development Manager will work closely with senior management in driving innovative strategies for new growth in accordance with industry trends and client needs. Under direction from our CEO, the Business Development Manager will target specific industry account contacts and develop strategies that will effectively attract clients. Our ideal candidate will be highly skilled at sales and business operations, and have an in-depth knowledge of marketing professional services, understanding of the workout business and the role of a court appointed fiduciary. Candidates should have strong business acumen as well as demonstrate excellent management, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive business development plan, including researching targeted clients in real estate, financial services and law firms for new business development.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our existing clients and relationships and how best to expand upon each.
  • Managing both our exiting sales and opportunity pipeline and developing new business opportunities.
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business and create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships. Manage Proposal response process, including detailed requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
  • Identify market and economic trends, building a short/medium/long-term sales and opportunity pipeline in accordance with targets. Meet regularly with senior management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals. Track overall company goals and objectives.
  • Seek, establish, build and maintain relationships with attorneys, banks, debt funds, CMBS and other institution capital providers to identify, pursue and secure projects across our multiple business lines.
  • Conduct analysis of workout properties, including proposed operating and marketing plans.
  • Develop strategies to enhance operations and financial performance of the asset.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and documents for executive management.
  • Coordinate with accounting to develop and implement financial models for projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing professional services to lawyers and financially oriented institutional clients.
  • Understand the role of a court appointed fiduciary: receiver, trustee and liquidating trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or management.
  • Successful track record in business development, sales and contract negotiations.
  • Extensive understanding of real estate.
  • 7 - 10 years business development experience.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail; interpersonal skills which facilitate teamwork. Energetic, hard-working and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Demonstrated ability to take direction and follow-through on tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a small office environment handling a variety of tasks with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and follow and/or set priorities.

    *Candidate must be located in San Diego, CA or willing to relocate on own. Relocation assistance will not be offered for this position.

Salary:  Dependent upon experience
