Amherst has significant ambitions for its business. The Vice President of Investor Relations will report into the Head of Investor Relations and play a key role in delivering on the firm’s growth goals across its debt and equity strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key point of contact between existing and prospective investors and Amherst
  • Assist in responding to investor questions, issues and concerns, support regular on-going outreach
  • Frame and build materials for various board communications within the firm
  • Complete due diligence questionnaires and RFPs, and respond to requests from investors & prospects
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Research teams to conduct industry research, develop investor materials and edit thought leadership and editorial pieces
  • Coordinate and help with the administration of presentations and meetings with investors
  • Support the fundraising process for new vehicles, including open and closed-end funds and securitizations
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance and other investment management teams to execute fund closings
  • Assist in preparation and review of fund documents (PPMs, LPAs etc.)
  • Track investor pipeline, create summary reports for Amherst leadership
  • Collaborate with Research and Investment teams to perform portfolio analytics and benchmarking
  • Work with Marketing to support correspondence with the media related to Amherst and its activities
  • Evaluate marketing exposure through industry publications, ads and conference participation

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in real estate asset management or private equity, including interacting with investors
  • Strong real estate financial modeling and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional research, writing and communication skills
  • Highly analytical and process-oriented, executes efficiently and effectively
  • Familiarity with Limited Partnership Agreements and Private Placement Memorandums
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, experience with a CRM tool
  • Results-oriented, collaborative, thrives in a team-based environment
