Job Description:

Report directly to the Managing Partner at a growing multifamily real estate investment firm located in Miami. You will be responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, underwriting their feasibility, overseeing the execution of the business plan and managing the defined objectives for multifamily properties the firm owns and will continue to add to its growing portfolio in Texas and the Southeast of the United States. The role will consist of property-level underwriting, portfolio optimization, property management oversight, construction bid process coordination, financial analysis, accounting and various reporting and communication associated with investment partners and property managers involved in each deal. 

Responsibilities:

•             Source new multifamily investment opportunities in Texas and the Southeast via the Company’s current relationships and existing relationships new hire has given their time in the industry

•             Create and maintain relationships with investment sales brokers, property owners and developers, which will provide a consistent pipeline of suitable investment opportunities

•             Performing property tours of prospective or active investments

•             Assist with the due diligence and loan origination process, including financial underwriting, physical and environmental investigations, valuation, market research, and effectively communicating potential risks or issues as they may arise

•             Reviewing and summarizing real estate leases, licenses, and other agreements

•             Assisting with drafting of investment memoranda and presentations to investment committees for approval

•             Working closely with legal counsel and internal legal to negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, intercreditor agreements and related legal documentation

•             Lead the asset management function of a rapidly expanding portfolio of multifamily assets in Texas and the Southeast

•             Asset Management duties include:

•             Create and oversee short and long-term business plans for newly acquired assets

•             Deliver timely and accurate budgets and meet financial reporting needs for investors

•             Work with third party property management company to ensure renovation deadlines are managed and met

•             Conduct weekly or bi-weekly calls with third party management to track progress of property and determine strategy to optimize performance

•             Perform long-term analyses using Excel to project future cash flows and total return

•             Handle miscellaneous tasks that relate to the asset such as lender requests, third party reports, working with contractors and vendors to achieve optimal pricing

•             Collaborate with other departments such as Accounting and outside legal counsel

•             Meet weekly with senior management to recommend and discuss all strategic decision making with assets under management

Qualifications:

•             Bachelor’s Degree or higher education from Tier 2 University with GPA of 3.5 or higher

•             10-12 years of experience in multifamily real estate investment and management

 

Candidate Should Demonstrate:

•             Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required

•             Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once

•             Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

•             Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with a variety of industry professionals

•             Extremely high levels of organization and task management
