Position Summary


Support all real estate related functions of GCEAR through participation in the entire acquisition process including financial underwriting and modeling, market analysis, due diligence, property inspections, and preparation of Investment Committee memoranda as well as participation in the asset management process including lease underwriting, asset repositioning related activities, preparation of leasing memoranda and asset dispositions. Further, the candidate will also assist with capital markets activities including financings and recapitalizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Create asset valuation, cash-flow projection and various other financial models for prospective acquisitions primarily for GCEAR.
- Read and analyze leases and all due diligence documents along with assisting in the closing of transactions.
- Research and analyze demographic, market, sector, tenant and property data.
- Create investment memoranda for presentation to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors.
- Analyze leasing opportunities in the portfolio measured against pro-forma underwriting and market.
- Write lease recommendation memos for review and approval by the Investment Committee.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and execution of significant capital projects.
- Assist with developing annual operating budgets that support the strategic directions of the properties.
- Update and distribute various weekly and monthly company and industry reports to senior management.
- Serve as a general resource for various other capital markets activities and special projects and one-off analysis of portfolio holdings.

Job Requirements

Relevant Work Experience – Minimum three to five years of relevant real estate experience. High degree of proficiency in MS Excel, ARGUS Enterprise, Yardi (ideal but not required) CoStar (ideal but not required), financial analysis and market research.
Education - Bachelor's degree required from four-year college or university in Real Estate, Finance or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Industry Knowledge - Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and of Real Assets and other investment vehicles. Knowledge of both private equity and liquid real assets is ideal. Thorough understanding of fundamental real estate economics, finance principles, and financial statement analysis.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to prepare concise and informative written presentations in MS Word, MS Power Point and skilled at financial modeling in MS Excel.
