Chief Financial Officer

A key member of the Executive Committee, the CFO will have primary responsibility for creatively and strategically structuring the capital formation of the company, projects, investments, lead the financial management of the company and be accountable for high quality lender and investor reporting and relationships.  The CFO will also lead the Asset Management, Portfolio Management and Risk Management functions of the company. The CFO will be a member of the Executive Committee, the Investment Committee and will coordinate other senior leaders to manage the Board of Advisors meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Financial Management

• Strategic management of company balance sheet assets and investments
• Overall company cash flow management and liquidity planning and management
• Corporate debt strategy, planning and implementation
• Tax planning and strategies
• Ownership distributions and cash flow management
• Oversight of all subsidiary company financial management and teams
• Manage company cash flow, capital structure, treasury management, reporting, compliance functions
• Oversight of Family Office team

• Lead capital markets access for company – debt and equity – to provide organization with access to competitively aligned capital to support the strategic growth plans of the company
• Manage all large financial relationships with outside parties
• Creative structures to source cost-efficient and fully aligned equity sources for investment needs
• Oversee and lead all capital formation activities at property, fund and/or corporate levels
• Develop capital strategies to facilitate both long-term hold objectives and investor liquidity needs
• Financial structuring of entity and portfolio-level acquisitions
• Management and oversight of Financial Analytics team

• Partner with internal stakeholders to help leverage technology and process innovation to allow company to scale without corresponding increases in headcount and operating expenses.
• Ensure Accounting and Investor Relations functions are fully technology-enabled bringing speed, efficiency and best-in-class service delivery to all internal and external stakeholders and investors.

• Serve as key member of company Executive Committee and Executive Leadership Team
• Demonstrate ability to provide effective leadership overseeing multiple operating groups, develop and retain top talent, maintain positive culture, and manage change and growth as ongoing company objectives
• Lead Asset Management/Portfolio Management functions to maximize long term returns for company and LPs
• Oversee Accounting group to ensure timely and accurate reporting and best-in-class service delivery
• Jointly lead corporate Risk Management function for the company with General Counsel
• Oversee the Investor Relations group to ensure timely and accurate reporting and best-in-class service delivery
• Oversee Corporate Finance and Financial Planning functions of the company

Qualifications:

• Experienced CFO with deep capital markets expertise
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred
• 20+ years of real estate financial management experience
• Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams
• Strategic minded leader and team builder
