What You'll Do
As a Business Development Manager, you have a great personality and strong communication skills. Developing exceedingly creative strategies for reaching new clients is something you thrive on - and you excel at implementation as well. You are the “right hand” to the Director of Business Development, and your fellow engineering staff couldn’t survive without you. Setting and achieving goals are a part of your everyday life. You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team – and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:
- Strong marketing and business development skills
- Leading well, being a team builder, and making decisions skillfully
- Understanding the local engineering and construction markets
- Implementing Business Development strategies, including performing market research
- Generating leads, maintaining a client database, and attending various association and trade shows to meet potential clients during the day and also after regular business hours
- Providing support for Business Development events and initiatives as needed
- Contributing to Annual Business Development Budget Development
What We're Looking For
- BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a huge plus
- 5 – 10+ years of Business Development and/or Marketing experience – highly preferable if in the Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering , Materials Testing, or Facilities markets
