Opportunity:

We are seeking to hire a senior level analyst to join our structured lending team at our headquarters in Newport Beach, CA.  This new team member will have the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment alongside a highly experienced group of real estate investment professionals. The employee will be involved in all aspects of the loan origination, closing and asset management functions for a $300mm+ commercial real estate loan portfolio with the ability to gain exposure to a wide variety of complex transactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Underwriting and analysis of new land, bridge, and construction loan opportunities with exposure to all property types located in Western U.S. markets. 
• Preparation of investment committee presentations.
• Manage the due diligence and loan closing processes.
• Support the asset management and financial risk analysis of a $300mm+ commercial real estate loan portfolio.
• Support new business generation through maintaining extensive broker and borrower network.
• Maintain active knowledge of current trends in capital markets and the commercial real estate industry.
• Perform market research to assist with the identification of new lending strategies.

Core Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of experience within the commercial real estate industry, preferably with exposure to capital markets and structured debt investments.

• Strong organizational, research and analytical skills with the ability to underwrite complex real estate transactions across multiple product types.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Driven work ethic, high level of integrity and interest working in an ambitious team-oriented environment.
• Must be a confident self-starter with a willingness to accept responsibility over ensuring the team meets required deadlines within tight timeframes.   

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related field.
