Job Description

Mission Peak Capital (“MPC” or the “Company”) has an immediate opening for a Senior Real Estate Asset Manager (“Asset Manager”).  The Senior Asset Manager is responsible for monitoring MPC’s housing portfolio’s performance and directing the leasing, property management and construction teams to maximize the values of our assets.  Additionally, the Senior Asset Manager will be assisting the Chief Investment Officer in the underwriting of the Company’s acquisitions.  The Senior Asset Manager will also provide oversight to all budgeting processes and be responsible for finalizing all property and portfolio budgets.

 

This is a highly visible position that will be directly facing with company principals, capital investors, and other prominent stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

The Senior Asset Manager will provide strategy, direction, and oversight for the operations of MPC’s investments to maximize revenues and ensure appropriate cost control measures are achieved.

 

  • Strategy: Establish and execute the business plan to maximize the value and return on MPC’s portfolio throughout each individual asset’s life cycle 
  • Property Management: Responsible for directing and monitoring the property management team
  • Leasing: Ensure that all leases and sale transactions are consistent with the market conditions. Monitors all leasing activity to insure maximum occupancy and income
  • Budgets: Participate in the development of budgets for each property to maximize the value of each assets in MPC’s portfolio. Evaluate asset performance compared to the budget on a regular basis
  • Acquisitions: Renders assistance during acquisition and disposition of properties; including the development of acquisition target proforma budgets
  • Reporting: Oversee the reporting process (business plans and other monthly/quarterly reports) in a timely and efficient manner for MPC and its investors
  • Installations: Participate in the installation budgets for each property to maximize the value of each assets in MPC’s portfolio
  • Communication: Prepare regular updates on asset performance and financial reporting for senior management, investors, and owners, as well as manage the reporting process (business plans and monthly/quarterly reports) in an efficient and timely manner
  • Processes: Implement and/or improve upon existing systems and processes to make operations, reporting and execution more efficient

Since then, we have grown to include two subsidiary companies and four national offices. Mission Peak Capital provides investors with creative real estate investment opportunities along the risk spectrum including opportunistic, value-add, stabilized, and debt strategies. 

 

Qualifications

A qualified candidate should have:

  • 5-7 years of hands-on Asset Management experience
  • Experience in Manufactured Housing and Multi-Family (preferred)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, PowerPoint and Word (required)
  • Previous commercial real estate analysis and/or underwriting experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of income-producing properties and commercial real estate markets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high-level attention to detail
  • Familiarity with RealPage, Rent Manager, Yardi or other similar CRE software systems

 

Interested candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline and have a familiarity with the terms and concepts of the commercial real estate industry.

 

The ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with others as well as independently to produce accurate, detailed work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must. The applicant must have the ability to articulate an opinion while providing factual support for conclusions.

 

On occasion, individual may be required to undertake additional or other duties according to the needs of the business.  Additionally, this position may require up to 25% travel.
