Description


As Director of Capital Markets, you will manage all phases of the real estate financing process including client relationship management, placement strategy, placement execution, loan and equity term negotiation, and closing. In this role, you will lead our execution team in providing advisory services that focus on structured financing, asset recapitalizations, property acquisitions, development, and more.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Arrange First Mortgage Debt, Joint Venture Equity financing, and Mezzanine and Preferred Equity financing

  • Delegate and oversee preparation of deal books and the distribution of marketing materials

  • Call and work with lenders/investors to negotiate transaction terms

  • Provide weekly client updates via written communication and conference calls

  • Coordinate closing process, including obtaining necessary documentation to appropriately support the transaction process

  • Supervise a team of analysts

  • Reviewing and analyzing property, portfolio and entity cash flow models 

  • Reviewing market information 

  • Preparation/ production of all offering memorandums for presentation to debt capital providers and investors

  • May be working on 3-8 transactions at once; each taking 4-6 months to complete

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Real Estate and excellent academic credentials preferred

  • 5+ years of work experience in real estate brokerage or lending

  • Proven leadership experience being organized and influencing and communicating direction
