Description


Overview:
The Fund is seeking to add a private equity associate to its investment and asset management teams. Associates play an integral role in sourcing, underwriting, and executing on new investment opportunities. The Associate will also assist in asset management for the Fund’s existing portfolio.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct underwriting, research and analyses, primarily related to credit and real estate-related assets

  • Analyze financial data in connection with prospective investments by constructing Excel-based valuation models

  • Develop written and graphical materials, including credit memos and investment presentations

  • Perform asset and portfolio-level due diligence on prospective investments

  • Collaborate in originating, screening and executing transactions with Principals of Bloomfield

  • Engage with outside consultants and advisors

  • Maintain opportunity and transaction tracking databases

  • Monitor, review, and synthesize market reports and other information

  • Assist the legal team in the preparation and review of transaction documentation

  • Assist with asset management and performance monitoring for portfolio investments

Skills / Requirements:

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, or other finance-related investment role

  • Undergraduate degree from top-tier institution with economics, finance or accounting degree

  • Interest in real estate, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital

  • Analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple

    projects simultaneously

  • Ability to present and interact with internal and external deal team members

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, including multiple priorities and demands

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control

  • Skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and a strong academic and practical understanding of

    finance, accounting and valuation methodology
