Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including procure-to-pay (procurement & accounts payable), accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, and revenue recognition.

We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst - Procure-to-Pay to join our team in our Washington, DC headquarters. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for establishing a working knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (Procurement/AP) operations within the company to lead activities supporting financial metric reporting and lead projects focused on identifying and capturing operational efficiencies through process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leverage Oracle ERP and Concur Expense Reporting systems to facilitate the daily and monthly reporting of financial metrics, scorecards and dashboards for the Procure-to-Pay team. Provide recommendations to enhance the current reporting tools.
  • Develop key performance metrics and communicate to management processes that fall outside of define service level agreements.
  • Help identify, quantify and participate in implementation process improvement projects and provide reporting tools to measure the execution of efficiencies.
  • Identify, quantify and facilitate implementation of electronic data interchange (EDI) suppliers.
  • Identify, quantify and facilitate getting suppliers set up to use the supplier portal.
  • Actively participate in daily Procure-to-Pay operations including invoice processing, performing check runs, analyzing outstanding invoices, analyzing supplier spend, sourcing and supplier database to gain a better understanding of the operations.
  • Prepare, support and perform monthly closing activities including financial reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Will work cross functionally across Pay-to-Procure (AP/Procurement), FP&A, GL Accounting, and Finance Technology teams.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 2-5 years of related professional work experience demonstrating professional growth and a trend of increasing responsibility.
  • An analytical business background, problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • An MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment is a must.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools is a plus.
