SUMMARY:

Rialto Capital Management, LLC (“Rialto”) is a leading real estate investment, finance and asset management firm with 250+ professionals in 12 locations across the U.S.  Key businesses include investment management, loan origination, asset management and special servicing.  The firm has over $13 billion of assets under management and nearly $6.5 billion of equity.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Underwrite credit investment opportunities including floating rate loans, conduit loans, distressed loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity investments and CMBS securities
  • Model property and loan cash flows utilizing Excel and Argus to evaluate financial metrics
  • Support senior investment team in preparing investment analysis and recommendations
  • Perform property-level due diligence on underlying loan collateral, including broker conversations, third-party reports, lease agreements, , service contracts and listing agreements
  • Assist in loan closing processes and capital markets execution
  • Conduct market research on various U.S. markets
  • Conduct property / site inspections as needed
  • Draft and prepare detailed memoranda to present to senior management and Investment Committee

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a top-tier university in Economics, Finance or another related field preferred
  • Some level of prior Real Estate, Investment Banking or Investment Management internship experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Argus is a plus
  • Advanced analytical and organizational skills are required, with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
