POSITION SUMMARY

The position will work alongside colleagues in Portfolio Management, Asset Management and Special Assets, under the direction of the Managing Director, to support the Asset Management team and lead individual assignments for private CRE lender loan portfolio(s). The role is focused on ensuring compliance with borrower and lender obligations, and corresponding with borrowers, capital partners, and third-party service providers. This position will require the analysis of owned real estate and performing loan compliance in addition to borrower service requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support Asset Management Directors to monitor loans in conjunction with Servicer to ensure borrower, guarantor, and lender compliance with loan documents.
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Asset Management, manage an individual book of performing loans and review and process Future Funding requests to ensure the flow of funds.
  • Prepare and maintain asset/portfolio loan status notes for communication with the portfolio management team.
  • Collect and analyze required financial reports from borrowers
  • Analyze surveillance reports and interact with borrowers to identify loan performance issues and communicate issues to the Special Asset Management team.
  • Analyze and model property pro-forma business plans and present to the Director of Special Assets
  • Research specific CRE markets nationally and present findings to the Director of Special Assets
  • Other related portfolio support tasks as determined by your direct report as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:    

  • Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in real estate, finance, business, accounting, or related field a plus.
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining servicing models for real estate loans using excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
