Portfolio & Asset Management:

  • Lead portfolio and asset management decisions including dispositions, refinancings/recapitalizations, budget and business plan approvals, and capital expenditures.
  • Formulate and lead the overall strategy and direction for the value creation and risk mitigation of the firm’s investments.
  • Work with operating partners to develop and then approve budgets and re-forecasts.
  • Oversee operating partners to drive the development and execution of value-creation strategies across all investments.
  • Provide recommendations for potential property management, leasing, and construction contracts.
  • Monitor risk levels and P&L to create value within the portfolio.

Fund Management & Reporting:

  • Deliver portfolio updates and present investment opportunities to key investors and prospects.
  • Maintain and grow investor and partner relationships.
  • Monitor and guide the strategic, operational, and financial performance of fund investments.
  • Conduct financial analysis/modeling to assess the current and projected performance of property investments.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly valuations for the portfolio, in collaboration with other individuals; review results and pivot strategy as needed.

 

Leadership:

  • Help establish processes and procedures for a growing company.
  • Develop annual business plans to achieve investment strategies consistent with client objectives.
  • Provide clear direction and collaborate across functional areas of the firm to maximize efficiencies and drive results.
  • Proactively establish and maintain various industry contacts and relationships across the regions and nationally through various networking and real estate associations. This includes establishing a network with peers, competitors, and vendors.
  • Provide leadership, management, and strategic direction to the growing team of asset management professionals across the firm. 
  • Nurture, support, and develop talent within the team.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in an analytical or transaction-oriented role such as acquisitions, asset management, development, or portfolio management.
  • Prior experience with office, industrial, or residential assets.
  • Successful track record of accomplishments and demonstrated experience with analyzing complex investment issues, developing, and executing investment strategies to achieve optimal results and effectively manage risk.
  • Conducts financial analysis/modeling to assess the current and projected performance of property investments.
  • Knowledge of real estate cash flow modeling and property-level financial statements.
  • High level of competence with respect to analysis, due diligence, property and portfolio valuation, leading negotiations, and strategic recommendations.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills, with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Team orientation and ability to work effectively and cooperatively with both peers and junior professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
