Role Description

We are currently looking for an Associate to join our Office Investment Sales team and augment our Structured Products/Single Tenant team in our Dallas, TX office. Our Associate program is designed for recently promoted Analysts, professionals with 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience. As an Associate at Eastdil Secured, you will be afforded new challenges with the opportunity to work within a team that is dedicated to a specific product type or business line, allowing you to develop expertise in your discipline. This position also involves a significant role in business transactions including client and investor communication, supervision of Analysts and the underwriting process, creation and execution of marketing collateral, as well as continued hands-on training.

 

Additionally, this role will work closely with Eastdil Secured’s Structured Products/Single Tenant team and will participate in the sale, financing, and recapitalization of major credit focused real estate transactions throughout Texas and the U.S. This role will entail understanding the unique competitive and operating environments of our public and private real estate clients and uniquely combines strong relationships and real estate knowledge with superior capital markets and advisory expertise to steadfastly provide clients with outstanding advice through any phase of strategic growth and execution.

 

Essential Functions

  • Working closely with senior team members on presentations and financial analysis
  • Assisting team in underwriting for asset sales and debt placement across all property types
  • Performing comprehensive and in-depth company, real estate, and market analysis
  • Due diligence collection and review
  • Participating in the creation of pitches and marketing materials (depending on office location)
  • Participating in client interactions to gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers

Education and Qualifications 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in real estate, finance, investment banking, or a similar financial services advisory role
  • Bachelor's degree

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required 

Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and distinguished written and oral communication skills. It is strongly preferred that your background includes:

  • Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry with a focus on real estate finance
  • An understanding of the real estate equity and/or debt capital markets
  • Basic working knowledge of financial analysis and GAAP accounting
  • Strong financial analysis and excel modeling skills
  • A general knowledge of Argus Enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of deals using financial modeling techniques with a strong attention to detail
  • The ability to take on significant responsibility and create high-quality marketing collateral with strong writing, market research, and power point skills
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality work under tight time frames
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to conclusion within agreed upon deadlines
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, and team environment
  • Energetic self-starter who is flexible, organized, conscientious, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • An individual who demonstrates a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving result
  • Strong understanding of Eastdil Secured’s culture with the ability and desire to learn and understand the firm’s deal execution process as well as train and mentor our junior team members
