Job Summary

CBRE is looking for an experienced Property Management General Manager to partner with our client to provide Property Management services at their urban Headquarters campus. This person will provide leadership and business line oversight as one of the two General Managers on the team. We are looking for people who want to join an ambitious and driven team that continues to push state of the art standards and improve the daily lives of our customers.

Working cross-functionally with a diverse group of team members, stakeholders and clients; this person is a creative, critical thinker with an intense curiosity and commitment to clear communication and high customer service standards.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring involvement of all critical participants to completion of scope and projects.
  • Provides formal supervision to individual employees and responsible team. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
  • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behavior that is consistent with the company's values.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
  • Drives continuous improvement. Implement and monitor standards of service to meet and exceed expectations. Look for opportunities to improve efficiencies across operations.
  • Develops and controls annual budgets for operating and capital expenses. Forecasts management plans and prepares monthly performance, explaining variances.
  • Ensures team delivers on Scope of Work, SLA's, and SOP's for example: Responds to tenant needs, performs site walks, markets and leases of property, collects rent and pays expenses, prepares all required legal notices, reviews and reconciles tenant rent and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recovery charges, negotiates early terminations of leases, provides lease analysis for client's review and approval.


Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in property management demonstrating progressive responsibility and growth within the construction/facilities industry.
  • Strong office, high rise and retail property management experience
  • Strong organizational skills, business acumen and adept at multi-tasking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally; demonstrated experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Excellent ability to build trust among colleagues and service partners.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.
  • Proficient in Applications - Word, Excel, Outlook, Asana, and Smartsheets.
  • Experienced in developing and managing budgets, forecasts and reporting on such with both Opex and Capex spend.
  • Experience in managing, leading Capex projects.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial contracts (master agreements / work-orders).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload responsibilities.
  • Able to work with technical and non-technical business owners/partners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
  • Self-motivated, able to lead and work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrates willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment; deals effectively with varying workload requirements; can shift gears comfortably, manages competing demands, delays or unexpected events.

Preferred Qualifications
• BA/BS degree from accredited university.
