The Senior Architectural Designer will be responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables and will work on any/all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. This individual will report to the Director of Construction on tasks and deliverables to ensure the project is strategically designed within budget and site constraints.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generate new concepts and create fresh ideas on projects to meet tenant requirements.

  • Participate in design charrettes with Consultants and CP Group Executive Group

  • Create design concepts and continue the development through all design phases as requested

  • Prepare concept design, schematic design and design development.

  • Be an effective presenter of ideas and concepts

  • Work collaboratively with Design Consultants to establish format, drawing assignments, deliverables and schedules.

  • Function as a conduit between conceptual design process and architectural implementation.

  • Possess knowledge of exterior finishes and trends.

  • Provide Revit modeling as needed to pick up redlines or model various elements of a building project during all phases

  • Space Planning base file creation/drafting to fully convey concept ideas in collaboration with Senior Interior Designer and Executive Group

  • Coordination among Revit Files as needed to assist in creating strong sets of concept, schematic and detail design documentation.

  • Participation in programming and revision tracking through construction documents to ensure quality assurance/control from the developer perspective.

  • Provide meeting support to Executive Group with Consultant Architects and Engineers

  • Work with the Senior Interior Designer to grow/evolve the CP Group Brand Standards and provide new ideas, specifications, and initiatives to meet Company Guidelines.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ design experience on large-scale Commercial Projects experience preferred.

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture or Environmental Design is required.

  • LEED accredited strongly preferred.

  • Superior proficiency in Photoshop, Sketchup, Revit, AutoCAD 2D and 3D Preferred. Revit is a plus.

  • Hand sketching skills are a plus.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, and vendors.

  • Must be quality minded and self-motivated.

  • Thrive in a collaborative design team environment and with senior management.

  • Have extremely strong interpersonal skills.

  • Design and technical detailing experience using the Revit platform

  • AutoCAD 2021 2D & 3D drafting, modeling, rendering, including Revit and SketchUp experience

  • Digital graphic skills including experience in software such as Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator

  • Working experience and progress in the craft of construction documentation.

  • Full Portfolio with 5+ years of relevant work experience. 

  • Revit: 5 Years (Required Minimum)

  • SketchUp: 5 years (Required Minimum)

  • AutoCAD 2D & 3D: 5 Years (Required Minimum)

  • Photoshop: 5 Years (required Minimum)
