Position Overview

 

The Marketing Associate will work closely with a 10+ person team located primarily in New York and London with a focus on institutional real estate investment as well as the broader corporate Nuveen brand function. They will be involved in and responsible for a broad range of US-focused marketing activities including marketing collateral, digital /e-marketing, multimedia content, events and communications. The role requires generalist marketing knowledge and some previous exposure to the commercial real estate, asset management, finance and/or institutional investment industries.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

Marketing & Brand: 70%

  • Manage the production of and ongoing maintenance of corporate and product-focused marketing materials including PowerPoints, brochures, acquisition flyers and other collateral
  • Manage production of marketing collateral and research/thought leadership content including proof-reading, compliance and design processes
  • Liaise with/manage external design agencies and other vendors
  • Support and coordinate firm participation/sponsorship and/or other engagement in US-based industry events
  • Creation of web content
  • Create and disseminate E- newsletter via email marketing platform
  • Assist in upcoming rebrand of all existing material and associated campaigns
  • Co-ordinate with wider Nuveen brand team to ensure consistency across messaging and collateral
  • Create social media posts to support to current announcements and initiatives
  • Maintain and manage asset and executive photo library and bios
  • Liaise with multimedia teams on production of videos and coordination photo shoots

     

    Operational/Administrative 30%

     

  • Liaise with administrative staff/HR to maintain internal distribution lists
  • Write content on US activities/new hires for weekly staff internal newsletter
  • Assist with planning and dissemination of internal announcements
  • Manage vendor contracts, invoicing, and US budget tracking
  • Manage printing, storage and shipping of marketing materials
  • Maintain and manage industry events and memberships attendance and calendar

     

    Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of related marketing communications experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, finance or related field
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel and Sharepoint
  • Experience working within / knowledge of the commercial real estate and/or asset management industries
  • Comfortable operating in/with a multi-location and multi-national extended team
  • Highly collaborative, communicative, organized and able to prioritize when presented with competing tasks
  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision in a complex organization
  • Ability to assess and interpret complex information and synthesize key messages visually and verbally into marketing documents and other written materials
  • Developed interpersonal skills including a proactive approach to resolving conflicts/ overcoming inefficiencies
  • Able to think independently and challenge/escalate issues in an appropriate manner

     

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of any of the following (or related marketing platforms): Pardot, Seismic, Cvent, Thirdlight, Wyden, Wrike, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Cross border and multi-lingual experience/skills
