PM Realty Group provides analytical services and support for ARA | American Realty Advisors. The Due Diligence Coordinator assists the Vice President, Due Diligence and the Investment Group in the coordination and execution of all due diligence efforts for investments originated by ARA.

 

This role presents an opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of a real estate transaction. The position works closely with a wide variety of parties internal and external to the firm including, the transaction team, portfolio management, asset management, transaction counsel, the seller, seller’s broker, joint venture partners, lenders, and third-party consultants. This role is based in ARA’s Los Angeles, CA office.

Your Responsibilities

  • Review and update the Acquisition Due Diligence Checklist daily to reflect the progress of the due diligence process for all active deals.
  • Summarize and document due diligence findings in memoranda to be presented to the Investment Committee for approval to move forward with the investment.
  • As appropriate, assist in identifying, reviewing, abstracting, filing, monitoring, disclosing, and distributing due diligence materials, such as leases, estoppels, environmental reports, engineering studies, title documents, ALTA surveys, and zoning reports.
  • Coordinate specific closing functions including the delivery of closing documents, completion of pro-rations, review of estoppel certificates, satisfaction of final purchase and sale conditions and the wiring of funds.
  • Complete specific due diligence task items and take accountability for proper analysis and disclosure of issues relating to those scope items under the supervision of the Vice President, Due Diligence.

 

 

Your Background

  • Minimum three years of experience in commercial real estate construction, design, or finance, preferably with exposure to real estate transactions and due diligence.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a major in business, real estate, finance, accounting, engineering, architecture, or similar background preferred.
  • Familiarity with real estate transaction documents (i.e., purchase and sale agreements) and due diligence documents such as Environmental Site Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, Plans and Specifications, Engineering Studies, Leases, Title Reports, ALTA Surveys, zoning reports and the closing process preferred.
