The Position:

Sealy & Company is seeking an Associate to join their Investment Services Team in the Dallas office.  The Investment Associate is responsible for evaluating the economics of potential new investment opportunities, developing broker and principal relationships to source and evaluate new investment opportunities, prepare and present new investment opportunities, coordinate due diligence work, lead closing activities, and maintain debt and equity relationships as needed. Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:  1) helping maintain current market information; 2) establish networking practices, solicitations, and relationship strategies, which maximize the opportunities of the company to achieve its investment goals. 3) confirmation of investment returns for current investments; 4) hold/sale evaluations of existing portfolio; 5)networking practices; 6) solicitation of development / investment opportunities and, 7) the procurement of debt terms sheets and due diligence proposals.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in commercial real estate, private equity, or finance. Preference given to candidates with extensive real estate underwriting experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA and/or other professional designations preferred (CCIM, CFA, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • High proficiency in Argus (Enterprise and DCF).
  • Demonstrated underwriting and financial model proficiency.
  • Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to carry out projects independently in standard situations
  • Ability for complex problem solving
  • Maintain enthusiasm through difficult projects
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain close business relationships.
