Cress Capital is looking for an Acquisitions Analyst/Associate to join its entrepreneurial team. The position will be based in Newport Beach, California. The candidate will also support a private family office with various investment strategies including real estate, private equity, professional sports and venture capital. This is a high growth opportunity with equity potential for the right candidate.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Evaluation and execution of prospective investment opportunities including underwriting, financial analysis, deal memoranda and acquisition due diligence
• Market, economic and demographic research to evaluate markets and the competitive set of properties for potential investments
• Provide asset management support and financial analysis surrounding all elements of business plans, leasing, re-financings and dispositions
• Assist with communications with investors, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
• Assist in fundraising efforts
• Ad hoc projects as needed to support the acquisitions and asset management teams

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years real estate investment/acquisitions or investment banking experience is required
• Strong understanding of real estate principles, a working understanding of real estate pro formas and valuation methods and strong Excel modeling skills. Knowledge of Argus is preferred, but not required
• Superior analytical and communications skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial drive, able to work independently and demonstrated ability to get things done in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
• Ability to think independently and not afraid to take contrarian opinions
