Summary:
Castle Lanterra Properties is currently seeking to hire an Analyst to support the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams in a role that touches on all disciplines of real estate investment, including acquisitions/dispositions, asset management, equity and debt financing, financial analysis and investor reporting. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of financial concepts, apt writing skills and rigorous attention to detail.
Location: Rockland County, NY
The role may include:
- Track new listings, including geographic distribution, expected pricing, offer dates, and final pricing
- Prioritize new potential opportunities
- Perform market research and evaluation
- Cash flow and financial modeling, including determination of property net cash flow, property valuation, hold/sell analyses, investor IRR, and partner cash distributions and promotes.
- Prepare comp and tax analysis, loan quotes, and investment committee memos for initial acquisition underwriting
- Conduct property tours
- Create and update investor memo and marketing material
- Review contracts
- Maintain oversight of property performance and property managers
- Review monthly property management reports to identify and resolve financial and operational issues.
- Support the due diligence process for acquisitions, dispositions and debt financing transactions, which includes coordinating with various parties to obtain and review the relevant reports
- Interface with architects, engineers and contractors for capital improvement projects.
- Prepare/review analyses, reports, and packages to comply with loan document and operating agreement requirements, including construction draw requests and quarterly/annual borrower financial reporting packages.
- Prepare various quarterly asset management reports and write-ups for management, investors, and fund vehicles. Such reports contain market and financial reporting and analyses and investment strategy recommendations.
- Set up software tools for improved team communication and coordination with external parties
- Other miscellaneous analyses and tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree required; Masters preferred
- Previous work experience in real estate acquisitions and/or asset management preferred, including financial modeling and valuations, financial and management reporting, budgeting, and market analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and ideally major property management accounting systems.
- Excellent communication, writing/composition, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly analytical and organized, with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, think critically and proactively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
