Job Description
The Company is seeking an Analyst/Associate to work within the Real Estate Investment Banking team in New York. The selected candidate will work with the equity, debt, M&A and brokerage teams on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities will include researching, financial modelling, cash flow analysis, managing due diligence processes, underwriting analysis, assisting in the preparation of pitches, presentations, offering documentation, and supporting the group on business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Education with a strong emphasis on math, finance or real estate and an excellent academic background
- Demonstrated transaction experience working on real estate brokerage, M&A / equity processes and/or debt advisory
- Self-motivated individual with a meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
- The position may require regular travel across North America
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of work experience with exposure to real estate transactions and/or underwriting
- Strong analytical capabilities, creative problem-solving abilities and financial modelling skills are essential
- Outstanding interpersonal and client service skills
- Advanced level of proficiency with Argus AE and Microsoft Excel
- Candidates will be evaluated on their business acumen and ability to creatively problem-solve, in addition to their approach to risk analysis
- Chartered Financial Analyst or accountancy qualification an asset
