Description
Mark IV Capital, a privately held, growth-oriented real estate company in Newport Beach is searching for an Asset Manager to join its team focused on acquiring, developing, owning and operating commercial real estate assets throughout the Western United States. This is a position with the opportunity for growth and increased responsibilities. The candidate will work closely with a team of analysts, regional vice presidents and executives, to gain valuable insight and experience in the real estate business, and make property level decisions in the company’s operations, including acquisitions, development, and leasing. Examples of responsibilities include:
- Negotiate proposals and leases and evaluate credit worthiness of prospective tenants
- Seek out acquisition opportunities in assigned markets and spearhead underwriting and due diligence
- Assist in construction management related to ground up development
- Evaluate market information relating to proposed or existing investments
- Oversee capital improvement and tenant improvement projects
- Prepare cash flow assumptions for annual budgets
- Monitor property budget to actuals
- Manage loan compliance and property level financing
- Maintain active engagement with real estate brokers
- Review various reports for management
- Hire, manage and train financial analysts
- Travel to assigned markets
Requirements:

- Commercial real estate industry experience
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of Argus
- Working knowledge of asset valuation and acquisition principles
- Experience in drafting and managing lease documentation
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, economics or accounting

- Master’s degree with an emphasis in finance, economics or accounting
- Commercial brokerage, development or construction experience
