SENIOR ASSOCIATE / INVESTMENT SALES

EDGE Commercial Real Estate ("EDGE") is seeking to add a Senior Level Associate in Investment Sales to its Capital Markets Group.  The EDGE Capital Markets Group is the investment sales platform for EDGE, a regional, full-service real estate advisory firm that provides investment sales, landlord and tenant advisory, property management and engineering services to clients in the Greater Washington DC-Baltimore marketplace. The EDGE Capital Markets Group is based in Washington, D.C. while EDGE has regional offices in Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland, and Pittsburgh, PA.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities · You will report to the Senior Producer and immediately support the existing pipeline: You will be expected to directly assist in underwriting, market analysis, broker-opinion-value, and pitch presentation efforts, field prospective buyer inquiries, potential buyer canvassing, property tours, and due diligence management; In addition, you will be expected to develop your book of business through proactive lead generation, prospecting, networking, and leveraging platform’s existing book of business; assist with strategic growth and marketing initiatives of the platform.

Requirements · Passion for success and excellence in a collaborative team environment required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance is preferred, but not required · three to five years of relevant commercial real estate experience required · established sales track record preferred, Knowledge of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore real estate markets preferred, but not required · Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is required, experience with Argus and financial modeling preferred but not required · Excellent oral and written communication skills is required · Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Compensation  - Commensurate with experience; you should expect to start with a market appropriate draw during the ramp-up period necessary for your experience level and cost of living; Depending on your experience level and sales acumen, within three to five years, you should anticipate earning a minimum of $200,000 - $300,000 in commission income growing to high six to 7 figures as you develop your book of business over a career.
