We are looking to hire a Capital Construction Project Manager, who will be responsible for managing and executing construction project management functions. Working within a national portfolio of commercial and industrial real estate, this individual will be integral to the effective communication with tenants, developers, general contractors, brokers, and other third-parties related to the projects. A highly organized, and driven individual will be crucial to the success of the role.
The primary duties of the Capital Construction Project Manager include:
- Supervise, coordinate, and direct capital construction process on a nationwide portfolio of commercial and industrial properties.
- Adhering to the necessary steps for pre-construction planning such as contract preparation, analyzing proposals, contractors and subcontractor vetting, and project scheduling.
- Develop and enhance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and implement best practices.
- Ensure successful completion of all projects by assessing challenges, plan and initiate solutions to overcome budget issues, any schedule conflicts, deadlines, design challenges, and other obstacles as they occur.
- Responsible for the management of design process, budgeting, entitlements/permitting, bidding, contracting, and project management.
- Accurately disseminate and interpret data to be shared across partnerships
Capital Improvements
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate major repairs, and capital improvement projects including the hiring and supervision of consultants and contractors
- Conduct and/or coordinate site inspections and use other methods to ensure that the physical aspects of the properties meet established contract requirements, risk management/safety requirements, general appearance, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Confirm scope of work, collect and evaluate bids, and make vendor selection recommendations.
