JOB SUMMARY


Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of one line of business and/or clients whose markets encompass a single market area. Responsible for short and long term growth and profitability of the assigned market and/or portfolio of client(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Assists Leadership to formulate, negotiate and execute contracts with clients, lenders, contractors, vendors and other key constituents. Builds strong business operations; sets specific, measureable, challenging, achievable goals and objectives.


Evaluates industry and business trends and analyzes financial performance indicators for potential impact on operations and responds with necessary business changes as indicated.

 

Generates proposals and presentations for Leadership to achieve new business. May be responsible for presenting pitches.


Assists in coordination of financial programs for funding new and continued operations in order to increase productivity and maximize growth.


Works with to create diverse team(s) dedicated to improvement of service delivery platform(s) and client relationship(s).


Ensures consistent service delivery meets organization service delivery guidelines and in line with organization values.


Fosters service-orientation and an 'advisory role' in client relationships.


May guide a team in client relations, service orientations and consultative opportunities and operations; may serve as a change agent for business improvements.


Builds and sustains relationship within community and industry.


Manages project execution; drives integration among lines of business to maximize company performance of the company's platform in attracting new business development and growing market/client share.


Manages and coordinates marketing campaigns, including representing the company at conferences and thought leadership events.


Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE


Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.

Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.


 

 


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Master's degree in business, economics, urban studies, law or related program preferred. Minimum of 12 years of related experience and/or training. High level of business acumen.
 
Knowledgeable in relevant policies and market trends, technology and information affecting the business and competition.
 
Advanced level analytical and quantitative skills; experience in developing strategic solutions for matrix-based industry environments.
 
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES
 
Real Estate Salesperson License required. Professional designation such as CPM, CCIM, RPA and/or FMA preferred.
 
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 
Working knowledge of leases, contracts, financial instruments, tax laws, and construction.
