The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

The Regenerative Factor

Land Acquisition is about to be disrupted, and we may extrapolate soon we may have the choice in many real estate sectors to pay more for products that are environmentally regenerative. General Mills, a top five organic ingredient purchaser and second largest buyer of organic fruits and vegetables in North America, is leading the charge. To meet the social and environmental promises of organic, they will test adding a ‘Regenerative Factor’ that will improve soil health practices on participating farms. They believe they can change the growing practices in such a way that increase biodiversity, improve water quality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and use of harmful chemicals. The products will be sold as “Limited Editions,” as their cost of production will rise. Choosing to pay for products that are environmentally regenerative could result in less waste and healthier portions which could be regenerative for a lot of us.
