Hudson Pacific Properties (NYSE: HPP) is seeking a Director, Investments to support the Investments team in evaluating, structuring, managing, negotiating, and closing potential acquisition and disposition of office and studio opportunities.  As an integral member of the Investments department, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the transaction process including financial analysis, market research, due diligence, legal document review, asset financings, business plan development, and closings. 

In addition, this highly-visible role has exposure to other verticals such as Finance, Accounting, Leasing, Operations, and Development, supporting various initiatives within the Investments department. A successful candidate will be able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and will demonstrate a professional, polished demeanor. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead all aspects of the transaction process for potential acquisitions, developments, dispositions, internal valuations, and corporate strategy.
  • Manage, negotiate, and oversee the preparation of legal documents related transactions, joint ventures, and asset level financings.
  • Gather, analyze, and present data and information from multiple sources and prepare detailed reports and sophisticated financial models using Argus and Excel for investment analysis and forecasting.
  • Assist with managing deal flow, external and internal deadlines, managing and training associated and analysts, and reviewing underwriting models and other quantitative analyses.
  • Conduct detailed real estate, corporate finance/credit, economic, and capital markets due diligence.
  • Prepare detailed investment-committee memoranda, Board of Directors presentations and other internal corporate materials. 
  • Manage and oversee the due diligence process for on-going acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Assist and facilitate the closing process for acquisitions, dispositions and asset financings, including interfacing with brokers, consultants, lenders, attorneys, title/escrow officers, buyers/sellers, and various internal departments.

Bachelor’s Degree required; Business, Finance, or Economics preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions or development. Prior real estate transactional experience is required. Excellent computer skills and demonstrated working proficiency in Excel (Advanced level), MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and ARGUS required. Excellent problem solving, deductive reasoning, financial modeling (in both Excel and Argus) and general quantitative skills are required. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, resourceful, proactive, and motivated in performing and excelling in responsibilities, while maintaining high levels of energy, productivity and effectiveness for lengthy periods. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with a fluctuating and dynamic schedule and with little advance notice. Highly organized, efficient, attentive to detail, polished professional demeanor with exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
