JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to lead the outsourced client team for facilities management on site, providing leadership, management, and development, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and maintains positive client relationships. Conducts client meetings on unresolved facility issues in an expeditious and professional manner. Communicates to clients regarding property profiles, emergency preparedness plans, site inspections, facility audits, work order progress reports, and other related reports.

Provide leadership, guidance, and expertise across a client account to ensure that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.

Ensure business policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented, and adhered to within the contract.

Ensure there is a healthy and safe working environment across the contract, and that both clients and CBRE health and safety policy/process is effectively implemented across both internal and sub-contracted activities.

Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across the contract, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, disaster recovery, and the sharing of expertise.

Ensure the contract is staffed by fully competent teams, taking direct responsibility for the appointment of team members, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.

Ensure the provision of a learning environment, with appropriate training and development planning so that mandatory training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles and are positioned to reach their full potential.

Work with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective teamworking, and support to colleagues throughout the Business Unit.

Development of financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded.

Ensure appropriate contract governance exists across your contract including, client meetings, internal reviews, audit and control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.

Support effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

Promote and maintain the core Values of CBRE.

Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of contracts are optimized, driving improvements in customer service, resulting in increased turnover and profitability for CBRE.

Ensure the contract within your portfolio is well positioned for contract renewal/extension, and lead on the solution/proposal development process to secure this.

Support organic growth across the portfolio by acquiring additional service lines as well as securing projects and additional works.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Report to the Area General Manager within the Business Unit.
Accountable day-to-day to the relevant client contacts.
Line management responsibility for an account-based team.
Financial responsibility for the delivery of Plan commitments for the contract portfolio.
Accountable for the service delivery and commitments of the client contract.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training. Associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas. Experience working within a technical environment, specifically with mechanical, electrical and plumbing assets within Commercial buildings. Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation. Experience with the development and review of teams, appraisal, and the application of effective people management practice.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Facility Management certification preferred. Driver's license may be required.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high levels of personal integrity. Organized, able to prioritize and deliver within high pressure, business critical environments. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of leases, contracts, and related documents.
