Research and Transaction Analyst (position reports to the Marketing Manager with a dotted line to the Transaction Manager)
- Build and maintain the Investment Database for Seattle and Portland
- Develop specialized lists for distribution of all offerings and market info
- Develop specialized lists for business development with detailed client intelligence
- Design, produce and maintain a thought leadership tool that communicates with clients and prospective clients weekly or more to raise the profile of Newmark Knight Frank Multifamily and its brokers in Portland and Seattle. Work with marketing manager to develop, maintain and deploy a market information website with regular link distributions to clients on behalf of particular brokers
- Investment Transaction Research for Seattle and Portland
- For Sale List: Track all multi-family investment properties for sale
- Sold List: Track all multi-family investment properties weekly that sell with commentary
- Construction List: Track all new multi-family properties under construction weekly with commentary and corresponding map and submarket summaries
- Track and prepare rent comps with commentary for all Offering Memorandums (OMs) and Broker Opinion of Values (BOVs). Update weekly during the sales process
- Track and prepare sale comps with commentary
- Track relevant land comps with commentary
- Produce and distribute Quarterly Multi-family Market Report
- Area/Market Research for Seattle and Portland
- Research and prepare “area summary” write-ups and info for marketing materials
- Pull and analyze demographics for area and for property
- Pull traffic count reports
- Create aerials
- Research various special projects as needed
- Provide content for BOV’s and OM’s (submarket reports and market insights)
- Production tracking
- Track and report market share quarterly
- Track and report monthly production
- Track offers with investor offer matrix and true up ideal in the process
- Maintain a distribution list and send out closing proformas
- Produce various call lists for Brokers to drive business for Seattle and Portland
- Research ownership contacts and phone numbers
- Underwriting and valuation (backup)
- General operational functions
- Assist with IT related issues
- Data/file storage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized with supreme attention to detail

Skills, Education and Experience:
- A bachelors or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate or other related field is highly preferred
- Superior proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook is required
