Flexible Schedule:  20 - 40 hours per week

Department: Accounting Intern/Junior Accountant/Actuary Reports To: Controller and/or principal

The Accounting Intern will support the accounting activities of the firm and assist with special projects as needed. Responsibilities include: • Assist accounting coordinators with: • Entering A/P invoices into Accounting System • Entering tenant rental payments into Accounting System • Reconcile bank statements • Assist Accounting Managers/Property Accountants with annual workpaper workbooks • Assist with tenant billings and inquiries • Provide support for entity audits • Update reports and schedules in Excel utilizing information from the Accounting System • Yardi

Special projects and business analysis as necessary

Basic requirements: • Must be well organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, set priorities, and handle a wide range of tasks simultaneously and handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment • Must be flexible and willing to take on new assignments • Excellent judgment, discretion, and organization is required • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred: Near graduate - Working towards an Actuary Degree, Business Degree with a concentration in accounting or business analytics – Or a recent graduate or graduate level student.
